The two slammed straight into the pile of steel. Immediately after, Long Ming braced himself against the steel, both hands clamped around the ghoul, his left foot digging hard into the ground while his right leg wrapped around its body. Using every ounce of strength he had to pin it in place, he then roared at Gu Yi.
“Now!”
“Shoot where?”
“Its back!”
“Ah, won’t it punch through and hit you?”
Gu Yi asked uneasily.
“It won’t! Shoot, now! I can’t hold it much longer!”
Veins bulged on Long Ming’s face as he roared. Though this monster was about the same size as him, its strength was far beyond his.
Hearing Long Ming’s words, Gu Yi gritted his teeth and pulled the trigger.

In an instant, the ghoul was struck in the back. A large chunk of its back was blasted apart, black blood splattering out continuously.

The ghoul let out a cry of pain.

Immediately after, he swung the axe in his hand with all his strength, chopping viciously into the ghoul’s chest.

The axe embedded itself partway in, but the tremendous recoil made Long Ming’s arms go numb. He felt as if the axe had struck bone as hard as iron.
The ghoul, having taken an axe blow, also let out a pained cry.
Long Ming yanked the axe free with all his might and swung it, preparing to strike the ghoul again. But the enraged ghoul kicked him in the stomach.

Long Ming was struck hard and staggered backward, falling to the ground.
He clutched his stomach with one hand. The violent pain nearly made him black out, but he still forced himself to get up.
At that moment, the ghoul charged toward Long Ming without stopping at all.
But just then, Chen Wei swung his hammer and smashed it toward the ghoul.
“Take my hammer!”
The ghoul abruptly turned its head to look at Chen Wei, then directly reached out with its claws and caught the iron hammer.
Chen Wei’s eyes instantly went wide.
Then the ghoul grabbed the iron hammer and Chen Wei along with it, throwing him out.

The ghoul immediately struggled with all its might, while Gu Yi and Chen Wei clung on desperately, their faces flushed red.

Long Ming’s eyes sharpened. He charged straight at the ghoul and brought the axe down hard on its neck.

The axe embedded halfway into its neck, but failed to cut through.
With a roar, the ghoul suddenly flung itself, throwing Gu Yi and Chen Wei away.

The two smashed heavily onto the ground and groaned in pain.

“This place isn’t safe. Hurry up, spread out and search for more things, then evacuate.”
