Chapter 78 Crush

“Qu Bo!”

The tall ghost controller beside him turned in panic to look at Qu Bo, speaking for the first time.

A cold, sinister chill began to emanate from his hands. He moved closer, wanting to reach out and place both hands on the towering female ghost that had suddenly appeared. This was the power of the malevolent ghost he controlled.

Drip.

But the tall ghost controller had only just taken a step when he hissed in pain.

Turning his head, he discovered that a drop of some unknown liquid had landed on his shoulder, possessing an extremely strong corrosive quality.

A distinct stench of blood came from there. It was not only because he had been injured; the liquid that had dripped down seemed to be a drop of blood as well.

The unknown blood fell onto him, causing his clothes to rot away, corroding all the way down to the flesh of his shoulder beneath. That was also the reason for his pain.

Drip, drip.

In just that brief pause, the top of the tunnel seemed to begin raining, as drop after drop of strange, viscous black blood fell continuously onto the tall ghost controller’s body.

“Ahhh!!”

There was no time to dodge. The tall ghost controller was as if his whole body had been splashed with sulfuric acid, screaming in agony as he collapsed to his knees. His hands, which gave off a cold, sinister aura, instinctively lifted upward, trying to block the falling drops of blood.

But even when those eerie black drops landed on the hands of the malevolent ghost he controlled, they still corroded them with a sizzling sound.

The coldness belonging to those ghost hands grew increasingly faint, replaced by the growing stench of blood in the surrounding air.

Beneath the knees of the kneeling tall ghost controller, a pool of black blood rapidly gathered.

Yet what was strange was that reflected on the surface of the black blood was not the tall ghost controller’s reflection, but the figure of a female ghost in white, her black hair covering her face, swaying with the ripples on the bloody surface.

Whoosh.

Two deathly pale arms suddenly shot out from the surface of that pool of ghost blood. They grabbed the clothes at the tall ghost controller’s chest and yanked him down, forcing his body to press firmly into the highly corrosive ghost blood on the ground.

The tall ghost controller once again let out a piercing, agonized scream. His body was soaked in the corrosive ghost blood, and large swathes of skin and flesh on his front were rapidly melting away.

One man was being lifted into the air by the female ghost, kicking and struggling, his face livid. Another screamed amid the constantly dripping blood, pinned down into the bizarre black blood on the ground by two deathly pale, hideous arms.

This was the scene Sun Qiang saw when he turned back. In the mere few seconds he had spent running forward, the two ghost controllers behind him had already fallen into such a miserable state, looking utterly incapable of resisting.

‘Two ghosts! At least two ghosts! Maybe even more!’

Sun Qiang’s heart trembled. He never could have imagined that after three ghost controllers made their move, two of them would fall in such a short time. How was this possible?!

The speed at which this Wang Liang dealt with them seemed not much slower than the speed at which he had dealt with those mercenaries.

Even if the other party controlled at least two ghosts, it should not be like this. Not even half a minute had passed since they started fighting.

Seven people had come. Now, he was the only one still relatively intact.

But he did not even know where the other party was!

This kind of successive supernatural assault was like facing a true malevolent ghost: unknown, terrifying, impossible to withstand.

Sun Qiang felt that even if Brother Chao came, he might not necessarily be able to defeat this man.

This time, their Yongsheng Club was probably in deep trouble.

But there was no way back now.

“Damn it, I’m still here!”

Sun Qiang roared and charged back again.

Unable to find Wang Liang, he could only use the bloodstained bone spikes protruding from his body to slam into the tall female ghost that was choking Qu Bo. At least this one looked tangible enough to touch. He had to save Qu Bo first.

“Hah!!”

Sun Qiang, with several bone spikes jutting from his body, slammed into the Slit-Mouthed Woman with all his strength.

But the bloodstained bone spikes, radiating a cold, sinister aura, stabbed into the Slit-Mouthed Woman’s back without even piercing the clothes formed from her supernatural power.

The bloodstained windbreaker caved in slightly where it was struck, then actually bounced the bone spikes back.

Sun Qiang’s charging figure abruptly came to a halt. Then he spat out a large mouthful of blood, feeling that not only had the ghost bone spikes failed to pierce the malevolent ghost before him, they had instead crashed into something like an iceberg, driving themselves even deeper into his body from the recoil.

Sun Qiang’s collision had ended, but the Slit-Mouthed Woman’s attack had not.

The Slit-Mouthed Woman was still choking Qu Bo, but her grinning, slit-mouthed head suddenly twisted a full 180 degrees, turning back like a malevolent ghost.

One large hand let go, then reached backward and seized Sun Qiang’s neck at close range, lifting him up as well.

From beginning to end, the towering female ghost’s body had not even swayed.

“You’ve got to be… kidding!”

Sun Qiang’s face turned livid from being choked. The malevolent ghost of his bone spikes had actually failed to take effect, unable to shake even the body of this terrifying ghost, and he had instead been seized by the neck.

And he discovered in terror that the bone spikes extending from the surface of his body were rapidly retracting back inside him.

The malevolent ghost that had originally been throbbing toward revival now swiftly fell silent, gradually showing no reaction at all.

This also made him understand why Qu Bo had not used his ghost to resist after being seized.

He simply could not move!

Only at this moment did Wang Liang’s figure reappear from the air at the side.

But he was still faint and illusory, untouchable, not having fully withdrawn from the ghost domain, merely having weakened its intensity.

“Looks like this is all you amount to. And with this, you dared to casually attack a person in charge? Forget it. Any last words?”

Qu Bo and Sun Qiang were held in midair, their eyes rolling in terror toward Wang Liang. Their mouths trembled, but they could not speak.

A cold supernatural force from the towering female ghost’s hands was constantly corroding their bodies, turning their faces livid and their bodies stiff. Even raising a hand was difficult, and they could not speak at all. How were they supposed to leave last words?

As for the other tall ghost controller, he was being held fast by the two deathly pale arms. His body, pressed into the ghost blood on the ground, had already gone still, corroded beyond human shape.

His screams had long since vanished. All that remained was the sizzling sound of flesh and blood being corroded.

Wang Liang shook his head. “Fine. I asked unnecessarily. I’ll send you on your way.”

The corners of the Slit-Mouthed Woman’s mouth instantly lifted and tore open, all the way to her ears, forming a savage, bloody smile belonging to a malevolent ghost.

The terrifying slit-mouthed killing supernatural force spread outward, its targets Sun Qiang and Qu Bo in her hands.

The corners of Sun Qiang’s and Qu Bo’s mouths lifted and tore open at the same time. At this point, they no longer had any additional supernatural power to resist the attack of the slit-mouthed force.

Like ordinary people, the corners of their lips split open in an instant. Their cheeks were torn apart by an invisible force, rapidly forming a bloody gash.

The moment the tear reached their ears, both of them stopped struggling at the same time, held motionless in midair by the Slit-Mouthed Woman.

Their bodies stiffened, their faces turned deathly gray, and corpse spots rapidly surfaced one after another on their skin, as though they had already been dead for many days.

After ghost controllers died, the malevolent ghosts within them should have begun to revive, but at this moment, they were still being firmly suppressed by the Slit-Mouthed Woman’s supernatural power, showing no movement at all.

The tall ghost controller nearby was the same. The malevolent ghost inside him was being suppressed completely by Sadako.
