Chapter 15

Section 2.

3 min read504 words

‘When the youngest stabbed someone with a knife, Daehoon hyungnim, who had been beside him, said, “This happened because of me. I’ll shoulder it all and go. So don’t any of you worry.” But everyone there wailed and cried out that they were the guilty ones.’

“I’m not so weak that I need to lean on you. Don’t worry. None of us will get hurt.”

Daehoon spoke quietly to Director Go Seungmin.

But those words resonated deeply with Director Go Seungmin.

In spite of himself, tears welled up.

Just then, Geunsu opened the door and came in.

Through the open crack of the door, they could see the security guards being held by members of the Daehoon faction, forced to kneel.

“Good day, hyungnim. I’ve finally arrived.”

“You went through a lot getting here. The boys?”

“I’ve deployed them at the main gate. About two hundred came, and more will be here soon.”

When he glanced out the window, the front of the building was packed with people in black suits.

“You’ve worked hard. You’re suffering a lot because of my mood.”

“Is it this bastard? The bastard who put you in a bad mood, hyungnim?”

Geunsu spoke while glaring at Kim Changsu with terrifying eyes.

“That bastard called the chairman a fraud.”

At Director Go Seungmin’s words, Geunsu’s expression twisted.

“What? This bastard ran his mouth just because it was open. I’ll tear that mouth open for him. No wonder I thought it was strange that hyungnim, who hardly ever gets angry, was so furious. So there was a damn good reason.”

Geunsu pulled a long sashimi knife from behind his waist.

Kim Changsu’s face, already pale after seeing the people filling the front of the building, turned even whiter.

It was his first time seeing an actual sashimi knife right before his eyes.

Whenever he saw people in movies panic at the sight of a knife, Kim Changsu had laughed at them.

He had wondered what was so scary about something like that, why they trembled so much.

But seeing it in real life was far more terrifying.

Enough to make his knees go weak.

The front of his pants grew damp.

“Geunsu. Put the knife away.”

“But hyungnim. He said something unforgivable to you. Shouldn’t we at least tear his mouth open, or take a few fingers?”

“Leave him be. We came here to sign a contract. We didn’t come to straighten this bastard out.”

“Still, this won’t do, hyungnim.”

“It’s fine. Geunsu, guard this place instead. Make sure no one gets in here. Can you do that?”

“Of course. I won’t let even a single ant slip out.”

“Understood, hyungnim. Then I’ll step outside.”

“Yeah, do that for me. And when this is over, let’s eat some meat. Look for a place where the boys can have some.”

“Understood, hyungnim.”

When Geunsu opened the door to leave, the broker who had arranged this contract was standing in front of it.

“Welcome. First time experiencing this kind of atmosphere, isn’t it?”
