Chronicle of the Silver Dragon Episode 93

“You’re definitely not human.”

Watching Je-hwa mutter with narrowed eyes, Keireunia, who had been silent for a moment, let out a deep sigh.

“You’re sharp. I knew you were strong, but……. Then this time, I’ll ask. Are you really human?”

Je-hwa smiled faintly as he looked at Keireunia, who asked back with a doubtful face.

“I’m not human.”

“Then?”

“I’m a Silver Dragon.”

“A Silver Dragon?”

Keireunia’s eyes went wide.

She had vaguely sensed Je-hwa’s power. Though his body was human, the energy he possessed was far too different from that of a human.

But having only ever heard of Silver Dragons in stories, Keireunia had failed to realize that the energy Je-hwa possessed was that of the dragon race.

Only after Je-hwa spoke it himself did she learn that he was a Silver Dragon.

“Do the Dragonkin possess human bodies like you?”

“No, I’m the strange one. I was originally human, but someone who was originally a Silver Dragon turned me into one.”

Keireunia made an expression of wonder.

“Anyway, what in the world are you?”

Keireunia smiled bitterly at Je-hwa, who was frowning.

“I am the daughter of the Moon Goddess, Apureunia.”

“The Moon’s……. Goddess?”

At Keireunia’s words, Je-hwa made a bewildered expression.

Why was a god suddenly appearing out of nowhere?

“I may look like this, but I’m five hundred years old.”

“You’re an old lady then!”

“Ahahahaha!”

Though she was laughing, a vein bulged on Keireunia’s forehead.

But Je-hwa didn’t mind at all. He simply looked at her with a curious face and asked.

“Then are you a god?”

“No, I am not a god.”

“Then?”

“I am a Demigod, that is, a Half-God.”

And so, Keireunia’s story began.

The Divine Realm, said to be the most sacred place in the world. That place was the world where gods lived.

But gods were not omnipotent beings. They, too, were a single race, observers of all worlds.

There was a separate Creator who had created the divine race and the world.

Yebeuronaa.

The existence who created the world, made the divine race protect it, gave them the role of observers, fashioned demons and angels, created spirits to bring harmony to nature, and made mystical beasts to protect that harmonized nature.

And the great Creator who made the most neutral Dragonkin and the various races of the Middle Realm.

She created four kings of the Divine Realm.

The Sun Goddess and the Moon Goddess, the God of Light and the God of Darkness.

Among them, Apureunia, the Moon Goddess who ruled the night together with the God of Darkness, descended to the surface world to soothe the rage of the Silver Dragon King that had occurred five hundred years ago.

All beings believed the Silver Dragon King had finished venting his anger upon the Surface Realm and gone to the Celestial Realm to vent it further, but in truth, the Divine Realm had tried to send one of the divine race to stop the Silver Dragon King, who was turning the Middle Realm to scorched earth.

But the power of each world’s rulers surpassed that of ordinary divine beings, so even the Divine Realm had worried about sending a highest-ranked god.

And so, Apureunia, the Moon Goddess who was on close terms with the Silver Dragon King, ended up going.

But the one who actually stopped the Silver Dragon King was a human swordsman.

A human swordsman with gray hair and serene black eyes.

While the Silver Dragon King’s rage was being halted, Apureunia met him by chance.

Having met the swordsman named Keiwel, Apureunia gradually fell for that human.

At the time, Keiwel was twenty-four years old. He came to feel great affection for Apureunia, who had the appearance of a late teenager.

And so, one day after the two had come to love each other, they met with the Silver Dragon King, Eunhwihwa.

And the one who quelled Eunhwihwa’s rage was none other than Keiwel.

Wielding but a single sword, Keiwel entered battle with Eunhwihwa and, astonishingly, fought her to a standstill, calming her anger.

In the end, Eunhwihwa, blocked by the great wall called Keiwel, left the Middle Realm through Apureunia’s persuasion. And she turned the Celestial Realm into a wasteland before curling up deep within the Silver King’s Palace.

This was a story known only to the gods.

Anyway, after that, Apureunia became pregnant with Keiwel’s child, and the child born was none other than Keireunia, now before Je-hwa’s eyes.

“I am currently five hundred years old. I lived in the Divine Realm until fifteen years ago, but as I approached the age to undergo the Rite of Divinity, Mother could no longer raise me there and sent me to the Middle Realm.”

The divine race also undergoes the Rite of Divinity at the age of five hundred.

And those who are not originally complete gods cannot live in the Divine Realm.

Nevertheless, the reason Keireunia had been able to live in the Divine Realm until now was because she was young.

But now that she had reached a certain age, she naturally had no choice but to leave the Divine Realm.

As the Rite of Divinity approached, Keireunia’s body, which had maintained the appearance of a five to eight-year-old, began to grow bit by bit.

Having begun to gather divine mana little by little, she was judged to no longer be a child, and the gods’ assembly concluded that there was no need for her to live in the Divine Realm any longer.

“My current foster parents took me in after I was driven out of the Divine Realm like that. My foster father was a knight recognized by the Empire, but he grew disgusted with Imperial politics and came deep into these mountains, where he met my mother. But he passed away from illness a few years ago.”

“Your real father?”

“He died fighting the Entity of Destruction.”

“The Entity of Destruction?”

“Ah, this is a complicated story, so let’s not speak of it. Thanks to Father, the Entity of Destruction was sealed anyway.”

Keireunia smiled faintly, and Je-hwa tilted his head once before losing interest.

Keireunia, watching Je-hwa like that, looked up at the sky again. Je-hwa likewise looked where Keireunia was looking.

There, the moon was shining beautifully in the night sky.

“You miss them.”

Jolt!

At Je-hwa’s words, Keireunia trembled, her eyes shaking violently.

“You miss……. your parents.”

“Yes.”

Keireunia nodded with a bitter smile.

“Ah, Lord Jehwa!”

Seeing Jehwa leisurely entering through the window, Seiran brightened.

“Where have you been? I was worried.”

Jehwa tilted his head at Seiran.

Seiran and Reben still didn’t know how strong Jehwa was. So of course they would worry.

Then Jehwa soon pointed at Reben and asked.

“Why is he sprawled out like that?”

“Ah, don’t mind him. He ended up like that after doing something stupid all on his own.”

“Y-you li…… urk!”

The protesting Reben let out a groan as Seiran stomped on his side.

“Huh? What’s this guy babbling about? Hmm?”

“Kkuaag! S-stop!”

Reben’s voice filled with pain could be heard, but Seiran absolutely did not stop.

Jehwa watched this, bewildered, before blurting something out.

“This place seems to be the house of someone called a noble from the place called the Empire.”

“A noble?”

Seiran paused mid-beating of Reben and looked around.

Reben likewise let out a sigh of relief once Seiran’s beating ended and glanced around.

“If he’s such an incredible magic swordsman that the scent of mana remains strong even though it hasn’t been used in years, there’s no way we wouldn’t know him. What’s his name?”

“Don’t know, I didn’t hear it.”

When Jehwa shook his head and spoke, Reben made a grave expression.

“Why did he say he came deep into these mountains?”

Seiran asked while sitting perched on the bed and swinging her legs, and Jehwa answered with an expression that said it was no big deal.

“He said he didn’t like the Empire’s politics, so he abandoned his noble position and came to the countryside. That was fifteen years ago.”

“Fifteen years ago……. A powerful Imperial magic knight…….”

Just as Seiran fell into deep thought, a knock sounded from the door.

“U-um……. Please come eat.”

Keireunia peeked her face inside by slightly opening the door and smiled awkwardly, and the three headed to the kitchen to eat.

After finishing dinner, Jehwa, Seiran, and Reben fell asleep.

Jehwa and Seiran slept together on the bed, while only Reben slept below the bed.

Seiran had silver hair.

Jehwa also had black hair with a silver tint.

Because Jehwa and Seiran had similarly colored hair that could make them look like blood siblings, it didn’t feel particularly strange.

Besides, it wasn’t as if Jehwa would do anything strange to Seiran. (Hm? What kind of thing?)

But Jehwa, who had been sleeping like that, quietly opened his eyes. And he carefully climbed down from the bed, frowning.

“What is this?”

He sensed several powerful energies.

Powerful energies that were the exact opposite of a demon’s demonic power. But they were by no means benevolent.

“Are these the pursuers those guys mentioned?”

Jehwa tilted his head looking at Seiran and Reben, then opened the window and leaped outside.

Hwaun Areutamseu, an angel with eight wings who held the position of Celestial Army Commander, muttered as he looked at the small human village before him.

“Is that the village where the Blood Children are hiding?”

“Yes, we saw a silver-haired girl and a black-haired boy with a silver tint, as well as a black-haired young man, enter this place. The girl and boy seem without a doubt to be the Blood Children called Rampage and the one called Reaper. However……. We cannot guess who the remaining one is.”

“It doesn’t matter. The Blood Children must die unconditionally. How much damage has the Celestial Realm suffered because of them? Especially Rampage Seiran and Reaper Reben……. Aren’t these two the very ones who caused the Silver Dragon King’s rage?”

It seemed the Celestial Realm believed the Silver Dragon King’s rage had been caused by the Blood Children.

At that moment, Areutamseu felt a chill and looked around.

‘Wh-what was that just now?’

He had suddenly felt an immense cold.

“Have I grown overly sensitive because of the demons lately?”

Areutamseu chuckled and muttered, lightly waving his hand.

“Leave not a single villager alive.”

At Areutamseu’s command, the ten celestial soldiers of the Celestial Realm who had followed him walked toward the village.
