It was probably about a year ago.
After [ ] died, a floating land called [ ] appeared, and the Star Gods themselves had come to Drakma to devour that land.
One of them was the Star God of [ ].
[Hand over what you stole immediately, Serpent Master.]
They had tried to obtain that land to keep their past from being exposed.
Anyway, the one that appeared from the sea after catching their scent back then was exactly [ ].
[There are even two Star Gods!]
It was a creature that looked like a whale.
[ ] was an entity that could swim through any place where darkness resided—dreams, darkness, shadows, fear—and teleport.
Indeed, it was called a predator that roamed the seas of all dimensions hunting for prey.
Of course, the [ ] they caught back then was one of the avatars, a split body, that the Abyss had sent to Earth.
As a creature that loved to eat, it had sent its avatars everywhere.
Moreover, although it was called a split body, it was incredibly strong, and the Abyss’s corpse that remained back then had also been very useful.
In fact, even the spear made from its bones was enough to shock the Divine Realm, wasn’t it?
Anyway, thanks to that creature, I was able to deal with the Star God of Taurus, but even now I could not forget its presence.
After all, it was a beast that had madly rushed at me to devour me.
And the moment I pretended to be captured and stood before the Great Holy God.
Igeon felt it again.
‘The Abyss.’
He felt it was approaching.
Since it seemed to like Hermes enough to pick his bones clean, it must have followed the scent of its stolen prey and come all the way here.
So Igeon deliberately gave off a strong scent of himself.
Wasn’t it a creature that had been maddened by his scent even back in Drakma?
‘I can certainly make use of this.’
And though it was a bit of a gamble, at this very moment.
Cr-crack!!
[Who dares steal the prey I was eating?!]
Boom!!
The [ ] that Igeon had lured burst into the Divine Realm!
Koo-goo-goong!
“Aaaack!”
The Abyss, the largest among the monarchs that had invaded Earth, rammed into the Divine Realm like a mad runaway locomotive.
The whale-like Abyss, seemingly furious that its prey had been stolen, smashed the Divine Realm with its massive size.
[Who is it! I was finally savoring a high-quality feast that walked right in on its own!]
Thanks to that, the world of the Dimension Rulers, the Pantheon, was thrown into chaos.
“W-wait...!!”
“It’s a Crueder!”
Just as humans called them [ ], other realms called them [ ].
And that one is definitely [ ]!
“Crazy, why is that mad predator...!”
The gods who immediately recognized its face were thrown into shock.
And for good reason—thousands of years ago, the Divine Realm had been greatly shaken by an attack from those creatures.
It was an incident where even the upper-rank beings among the monarchs had invaded with full intent.
And while the other ones were also stupidly strong, one of the most troublesome among them back then was the Abyss.
The number of gods devoured and harmed by that mad predator exceeded two-thirds of the Divine Realm’s population.
Moreover, wasn’t it equivalent to all the lives that would be born in the next 1,000 years?
‘If only the Divine Realm hadn’t let its guard down back then.’
It was a period so devastating that it was literally called [ ].
Those beings of an unknown civilization were the worst memory for the gods, so humiliating they feared recovery would be impossible.
But of all things, to summon that creature!
“Damn it, we’re already powerless...!”
Whether we let our guard down or not, they were formidable enemies, creatures so terrible we wondered if anyone could even kill them.
“Damn it, sound the alarm!”
“Drive it out!”
“Damn it, we set up measures to keep them from getting in!”
But regardless, the Abyss looked at the Great Holy God and vented its anger.
[So you're the bastard who dared steal my prey!]
Cheonmyeongju, targeted, was flustered.
At the same time, he glared at Igeon, who had thrown Hermes’s arm at him, but Igeon merely let out a puff of laughter.
“Well, you’re gods different from a novice, so those things are probably nothing to you. Oh, right, you’re humans now, aren’t you?”
Cheonmyeongju glared at Igeon.
Even at our best, dealing with a monarch-level is tricky!
Thus, the Great Holy God, flustered by the unexpected situation, shouted at the rampaging Abyss.
“Lord of the Crueders, this is not a place for you to come!”
[What do you mean?]
“And I am not the one who stole your prey!”
The Great Holy God glanced at the Abyss in a hurry, having thrown Hermes’s limbs at Igeon.
As expected.
“I heard that though it was a clone, it was defeated by that Serpent God on Earth. Then shouldn’t your target be that one, not me!”
The gods couldn’t believe their ears.
It was shocking enough that there was a monarch in such a remote dimension, but who defeated whom?
And the gods, bewildered by a story not yet known in the Divine Realm, looked at Igeon in shock.
‘Then could it be that the Great Holy God knew and was trying to lure it into Olympus?’
And perhaps Cheonmyeongju’s intent worked. The Abyss’s bloody gaze turned toward Igeon.
The Abyss seemed to have only just noticed Igeon.
[Who do we have here? Isn’t it the Serpent God who mercilessly killed my precious split body?]
“You shouldn’t have thought about invading Earth. You were asking to die.”
[Huh, I heard you killed [ ], but you’ve become even more delicious in the meantime. I wondered whose scent this was.]
The gods of Olympus flinched at those words.
What? [ ] died? That quick??
But that wasn’t important right now.
The Great Holy God immediately set his plan into motion.
“Yes, Lord of the Crueders who swims the Abyss. We will help you catch that Serpent God. So let us join hands here...”
[Get lost, you thieves who touched my feast!!]
“Aaaack!!”
The gods screamed at the enraged Abyss’s blows.
Boom! Boom!
In an instant, several gods who had become human were devoured by the Abyss.
[Do you think I wouldn’t know the aura of the one who retrieved my feast, you damned merchants!]
“W-wait... save me!!”
[I’ll spare only the Serpent God who prepared the feast for me!]
“Aaaack!”
The Abyss gleefully chased after the gods to devour them.
The Sea God who had summoned Hermes felt like dying at this sight.
It was a mistake to even think of negotiating with vulgar Crueders in the first place!
And even if they wanted to use their power, they had become human due to the power of [ ].
‘Even the power accumulated in the land of Olympus is flowing into that thing.’
Surely their own power was becoming the energy source for [ ].
So the Great Holy God, who was avoiding using his abilities, gritted his teeth.
As a Great Holy God, the effect was temporary, but he had intended to stall until the power of [ ] released, since he couldn’t fight.
In the end, busy dodging the incomprehensible beast’s attacks, he shouted at Igeon.
“Serpent God!”
“!”
“I’ll overlook the mess you made of Olympus, so use the Cycle once more!”
The gods looked as if asking if that made any sense, but Igeon raised the corners of his mouth.
“Why would I? It says it won’t attack me.”
“Are you trusting the glib words of that beast?! You will naturally be the next target!”
“Who knows. If I throw another precious one like Hermes, it might like that? Maybe a Great Holy God this time?”
“!!”
“Anyway, fight well on your own. Even I caught one, so you’ll handle them like chewing gum.”
The gods’ eyes widened in disbelief.
“That damn bastard plans to leave that thing behind and run away alone!”
“After using our power as fuel!”
“Run away? As if.”
“!”
Igeon told them to stop spouting nonsense, drew his sword, and right then assaulted Cheonmyeongju, who was under attack.
Boom!!
“Kughk!”
Cheonmyeongju, suddenly attacked, looked at Igeon with bewilderment, but Igeon smirked.
The silver power of the Cycle was gradually fading, but a different power surged up.
[War God’s Instinct]
A powerful force rose from Igeon’s body.
And at that power possessed only by those with the power of the War God, Cheonmyeongju frowned.
But regardless, Igeon swung his sword fiercely.
“Enough, give me back my friend’s ability!”
Igeon in front, the Abyss behind!
Cheonmyeongju, instantly outnumbered, became furious.
“Crueder! Isn’t that sword made from your own bones! The one you should be grinding to drink is not me but him!”
[Alright, Zeus, I’ll grind your bones to drink!]
“No! That’s not what I... ugh!”
Cheonmyeongju, who had lost his divinity, let out a groan.
The sword made from the Abyss instantly aimed between Cheonmyeongju’s legs, and he glared wide-eyed.
“Where the hell are you attacking!”
“What! Why! You bastard ripped off my friend’s manhood power! Give it back, you son of a bitch! I’m going to be a club owner!”
Cheonmyeongju’s expression was a sight to behold.
“What are you talking about! Why would I take such a thing!”
“We already finished the investigation! Do you think I don’t know that when you split our Taek-su’s soul, you also ripped that off! He said you took it!”
Cheonmyeongju made an astounded face.
“I never took it!”
He looked at the Domain Gods who might have been involved, thinking it was nonsense, but the Domain Gods who were dealing with the criminals were sweating profusely.
“W-well, come to think of it, Hermes...”
“When he said he was extracting Hogu’s soul, I think he said something like that...”
That bastard really did!
But the Domain Gods who spoke had strange expressions.
“Why would Hermes extract such a thing?”
“What does it matter, you bastard! Give it back! I have no face to see Ji-woo!”
The Sea God serving the Great Holy God became frustrated.
“Even if we wanted to return it, Hermes is gone and we don’t know where it is! If you think about it, it’s your fault for sending Hermes to the monarch... ack!”
“Then give me yours instead!”
“?!”
What in the...??
Igeon, veins bulging, threatened the Sea God. The fierce power of the War God threatened the gods.
In the end, the male gods ground their teeth as if fed up.
One side is a beast that won’t listen to reason, and the other is a crazy lunatic!
“Run away!”
“What, there are two of these bastards!”
But there was no time to continue.
“Ugh!”
In the meantime, as another was devoured by the Abyss, the Domain Gods urgently looked at it.
‘Whatever, fine.’
There was a way to overturn this situation at once.
It was nothing else.
‘The core of Hermes must be in that thing.’
If Hermes had been devoured, there would definitely be a core containing his divinity. And if they could recover that divinity, the Great Holy God could use that authority, even if temporarily.
‘With the transport authority used for conveyance, they could even drive a monarch out of the Divine Realm.’
And even Igeon.
But at that moment.
Boom!!
The Abyss’s blow completely destroyed the Great Holy God’s domain in Olympus.
Koo-goo-goong!
“Aaaack!”
The ground split, and the gods fell to the lower floor along with the criminals. The Abyss immediately pursued them.
[Where are you going! You prey!]
Igeon also tried to pursue them, but right then.
Flash!
“!”
Igeon’s eyes grew round as he saw a slime roll over like a ball beside him.
And for good reason—it was because of the yellow crystal the slime presented.
It couldn’t be helped.
[Divinity (Core) of the Master of the Messenger (Hermes)]
That was a core containing a god’s divinity.
Apparently, it had been stuck between the Abyss’s teeth, or in its body, or somewhere, and then fallen out.
And when he picked it up, the subordinate gods were astonished.
[It’s the core of the Master of the Messenger!]
[With that, you can inherit the divinity, sell it, or even pass it on as succession!]
At the word ‘succession,’ Igeon became interested.
When he spoke with Persephone, he had learned that if you pass it on in succession, the power is inherited but the personality of the previous life disappears.
So if there was a disobedient god, they would deliberately kill them and use succession to raise them according to their taste.
Thus, Igeon smirked.
Hades was a bastard who kidnapped his friend and his ability overlapped, so there was no value in making him undergo succession, but this one might be somewhat useful.
Anyway, it didn’t matter.
“Serpent God! I’ll grant any negotiation, just please use the Cycle again!”
Light was pouring out from the hole that led to the lower floor.
The hole the criminals had breached couldn’t withstand the Abyss’s attack and had cracked open even larger.
At the sound of the gods barely holding onto objects, Igeon smiled viciously and pulled out a pillar of the Olympus palace.
And then.
“Fuck off, you bastards.”
Igeon mercilessly hurled the pillar at them.
Screams echoed out.
