Chapter 58 Three Supreme Giants

6 min read1,477 words

And his true body took the initiative to meet those three Great Dao imprints!

“Self-Clinging Corpse, command chaos, suppress the Primordial Beginning!”

“Thought-Self Corpse, transform myriad thoughts, shatter the thunder!”

“Original-Self Corpse, bear my Dao, sever deathly stillness!”

In the midst of battle, he was actually driving the three corpse phantoms that had only just manifested and were not yet complete, sending each one against a Great Dao imprint!

This was the most perilous collision of the Great Dao, and also the best method of tempering!

The Self-Clinging Corpse drew forth chaos, devouring the light of the Primordial Beginning; the Thought-Self Corpse evolved an endless storm of thoughts, annihilating itself against the thunder of destruction.

The Original-Self Corpse carried all of Lu Xuan’s Dao and laws. Like a lone skiff, it remained unwavering amid the aura of deathly stillness, pushing upstream against the current!

It was a soul-stirring sight.

With his own strength alone, Lu Xuan withstood both the Great Dao tribulation of creating a law and the sneak attacks of the dark titans; more than that, he was using them to refine his law and perfect the Three Corpses!

Across the Realm Sea, countless gazes were fixed upon this world-shaking contest.

They saw that at the center where ultimate light and darkness collided, Lu Xuan’s three corpse phantoms shattered and reformed again and again.

They grew increasingly solid, increasingly agile, and even began to carry a trace of the profound charm of “independent entities.”

As for the aura of his true body, after its initial fluctuations, not only did it fail to decline, it instead became like divine iron tempered through a thousand hammerings—deeper, more restrained, and even more… dangerous!

“His law is about to be completed!”

An ancient being of the Realm Sea murmured to itself, its tone filled with disbelief.

The dark titans were even more shocked and enraged, their attacks becoming ever more frenzied.

But that Chaos Bell was simply too heaven-defying. The chaotic qi it shed was impervious to all laws, firmly protecting Lu Xuan’s foundation.

At last, after another earth-shaking collision, the phantoms of the three Great Dao imprints slowly dissipated.

And the three corpse phantoms became completely solid. Though they still had an inseverable connection to Lu Xuan’s true body,

they already possessed, to a certain extent, an “autonomous” Dao charm.

Lu Xuan stood above the raging waves of the Realm Sea, his body covered in wounds, yet his aura was as deep as an abyss and as majestic as a mountain. He raised his head and looked toward the tribulation clouds that were still brewing their final strike,

as well as the dark titans watching like tigers eyeing prey, and slowly spoke, his voice spreading through the heavens:

“The Three Corpses are fixed, and the Dao foundation is complete. This tribulation should disperse.”

Lu Xuan’s voice was calm, yet it carried a power of Dao principles that brooked no doubt, as if he were announcing an established fact to this world.

However, the Great Dao tribulation of creating a law did not immediately disperse. The tribulation clouds, condensed from the wrath of ten thousand Daos, were still churning, brewing the final and most terrifying blow.

At the same time, what had been alarmed in the depths of the Realm Sea was not merely those few dark wills.

There were also several ancient beings who had long since made their names across countless epochs, wandering at the pinnacle of the titans or even touching the domain of Emperor Light!

These existences did not wholly belong to the dark camp. Most of them were pursuing their own Dao within the Realm Sea, either slumbering or exploring.

But the Great Dao fluctuations stirred by Lu Xuan’s creation of a law, as well as the transcendent meaning revealed within that “Slaying of the Three Corpses,” were enough to make them unable to stand by and watch.

“Chhh—!”

The void was silently torn apart, and a figure stepped out first.

It was not humanoid, but an unimaginably vast ancient vine of dark purple, its tendrils like horned dragons.

They stretched across who knew how many star systems, and countless strange pupils grew upon them. Within each pupil was reflected a different scene of worlds being born and destroyed.

It radiated a contradictory aura in which decay and new life were intertwined.

It was the “Myriad Realms Vine Ancestor,” which fed on the origins of shattered ancient realms and had lived for who knew how many epochs. Its spiritual power was boundless, and it was most adept at prying into the essence of all things.

“Hand over that method of severing the self! Such a wondrous law is not something you alone may monopolize!”

The Vine Ancestor’s spiritual fluctuations were like billions of sharp needles, charging directly toward Lu Xuan’s sea of consciousness, carrying powerful forces of bewitchment and corrosion.

It was attempting to forcibly pry into the secrets of “Slaying the Three Corpses.”

Countless phantom vines pierced through the void and coiled toward Lu Xuan.

Every vine carried a terrifying power capable of stripping away the divine soul.

Almost at the same time, on the other side, a radiance hot enough to melt stars lit up.

A being formed entirely of liquid golden divine flame emerged, its shape constantly shifting between phoenix, golden crow, and fire dragon, yet without any fixed core.

It was the “Undying Fire Spirit,” born in an eternal fire domain within the Realm Sea.

It was a spirit of the laws of flame, but its own intelligence was chaotic, and it had never been able to truly clarify its “self.”

It had been stuck at a bottleneck for countless years.

Lu Xuan’s method of “Slaying the Three Corpses” held a fatal attraction to it.

“Law… give me… the correct path!”

The Fire Spirit’s spiritual fluctuations were chaotic and violent. It had little in the way of schemes, directly transforming into a golden sea of fire that could burn all things to ash.

It swept toward Lu Xuan, wanting to refine him and extract from him the true meaning of the method that made it sense the possibility of “clarity.”

The third to appear was a tall humanoid being clad in battered bronze armor and holding a broken halberd.

His face was withered, but his eyes were sharp as blades. Around him spread a bloodthirsty baleful aura and battlefield killing intent so dense it could not be dissolved.

He was the War King, suspected to have been formed from the undying battle intent and obsession left behind by a war sovereign who had fallen in some extremely ancient epoch. He had fought across the Realm Sea in search of a method to make himself “complete” or grant him “release.”

He sensed that Lu Xuan’s law involved “severing obsession.” This might be the key to his release.

“Let me have a look at the law.”

The War Emperor’s words were brief and icy, carrying an overbearing force that allowed no refusal.

The broken halberd in his hand rose. It was merely a simple cleaving motion, yet it drew forth the boundless baleful qi of the Realm Sea, transforming into a dark-red halberd radiance that tore through the sea of stars.

It struck straight at Lu Xuan, its concentrated power even surpassing the attacks of the Vine Ancestor and the Fire Spirit!

He wanted to force Lu Xuan to reveal the true essence of his law while resisting.

Three titans, each with different aims, yet all brimming with malice, taking advantage of his crisis to rob him!

Facing this sudden encirclement, a cold light flashed in Lu Xuan’s eyes. He was at the critical moment of resisting the final Dao tribulation, and the interference of these Realm Sea titans was undoubtedly adding frost to snow.

“Demons and monsters, and you dare covet my law?”

With a thought, the Chaos Bell above his head trembled. Bell waves spread outward in rings, first meeting the War Emperor’s terrifying halberd radiance, while at the same time fixing the void around him in place to resist the vines’ entanglement and prying.

And in the face of the incoming undying sea of fire, as well as the Vine Ancestor’s all-pervasive spiritual assault, Lu Xuan did something that shocked every watcher.

He did not defend with all his strength. Instead, he actively drew part of the sea of fire’s power and the spiritual corrosion

toward his “Thought-Self Corpse” and “Self-Clinging Corpse,” which were still somewhat illusory as they fought the Great Dao imprints!

“Thought-Self Corpse, receive myriad thoughts, refine the heart-fire!”

“Self-Clinging Corpse, suppress external evils, stabilize my Dao!”

This was an extremely risky act, equivalent to luring the wolf into the house! But Lu Xuan’s confidence in his own law, as well as his use of the power of the Great Dao tribulation, had reached an inconceivable level!
