Seeing that the Knocking Ghost had been temporarily suppressed and the Ghost Domain had vanished for the moment, Zhou Zheng immediately turned back and shouted into the classroom:
“Everyone, run! Get out while the Ghost Domain hasn’t appeared again!”
Wang Liang had just rushed out of the classroom and into the corridor.
Hearing Zhou Zheng’s words, the memories left by the original body as a teacher stirred some inexplicable emotions in him. In that instant, he subconsciously shouted as well, his voice booming.
“I’m Wang Liang, homeroom teacher of Senior Year Three, Class Seven! There’s going to be an earthquake! Everyone run outside!!”
The Knocking Ghost’s killing was not so considerate as to only envelop Wang Liang’s class. It was not that “kind,” nor did it know how to restrain itself.
Once the Knocking Ghost appeared and began killing, however large its Ghost Domain was, that was how far it would spread.
At present, the Knocking Ghost’s Ghost Domain was not particularly large, but it still covered the entire campus.
Those attending evening self-study at No. 7 High were not only Wang Liang’s class, but also the other senior year classes and some boarding students from Year One and Year Two. There were students on every floor.
In the original plot, the other classes had no idea what was happening before they were covered by the Knocking Ghost’s Ghost Domain and taken away.
In the end, the Knocking Ghost found them one by one, and they were nearly wiped out in complete confusion. Only the few people who followed Yang Jian managed to escape death.
If he shouted that there was a ghost and told them to run, even if he said he was a teacher, probably no student would believe him.
But if he said an earthquake was about to happen, coupled with his identity as a teacher, it would be far more credible. At the very least, some people would rather believe it and run first.
And while Wang Liang shouted, the movements of his hands did not stop.
Just as Zhou Zheng was about to lose his hold on the Knocking Ghost, Wang Liang likewise activated the supernatural power of the malevolent ghost within his body.
The moment Sadako’s supernatural power was activated, gray lines that only he could see instantly appeared before Wang Liang’s eyes.
These gray lines extended from his abdomen toward all the glass surfaces around him that reflected his figure.
There were many more in the distance, stretching all the way to the horizon beyond his sight.
The situation was urgent. There was no time to adapt or think too much. Following the residual instincts of the crashed malevolent ghost inside him, Wang Liang reached out and grabbed at one nearby gray line in the air.
That gray line extended to the rear of the Knocking Ghost—in other words, to the corridor window directly in front of Wang Liang.
The supernatural power was unleashed. A cold, hair-raising aura spread out from Wang Liang’s body, and the terrifying curse belonging to Sadako advanced forward.
On the glass window behind the Knocking Ghost, the reflection of Wang Liang that had originally been cast upon it suddenly underwent an eerie and abnormal change.
At first, the Wang Liang reflected in the glass was making the same motion, reaching out to grab at empty air.
The expression on his face was also the same as the real Wang Liang outside, filled with urgency.
But now, as Wang Liang activated his supernatural power, the reflected Wang Liang in the glass abruptly changed expression.
The urgency vanished, replaced by a resentment in his eyes that seemed as if it wanted to tear someone to pieces.
His movements also appeared somewhat stiff. His shoulders shook, and the hand he had stretched forward suddenly made two cracking sounds. With an unnatural motion of the joints, it fell back to his side.
It was no longer mirroring the movements of the real Wang Liang!
The Wang Liang in the glass twisted his neck stiffly several times, then swayed his body in the world inside the mirror as he stepped forward, constantly walking toward the surface of the mirror. His figure grew larger, as though he were about to walk out from within.
During the process, the Wang Liang inside the glass began to grow longer hair. Jet-black strands spread wildly in all directions, covering his face and those eyes brimming with resentment.
The clothes on his body transformed into white garments, and even his figure began to shift toward that of a woman, becoming somewhat more slender.
As a whole, he became like Sadako, whom Wang Liang had only glimpsed in passing before!
When he completely reached the surface of the glass in the mirror world, the Wang Liang inside the mirror had already fully turned into Sadako, dressed in white with black hair covering her face, at the height of a person. Then, she abruptly thrust one arm forward.
The next moment, Sadako’s deathly pale arm actually pierced straight out of the glass, invading reality, and pressed down toward the Knocking Ghost, which was in the middle of getting up.
As Sadako’s arm reached out, more than half of her body crawled out with it.
One hand was shaped like a claw and viciously dug into the Knocking Ghost’s corpse-spotted face, her sharp black nails embedding themselves into the flesh and skin of the old man’s face.
Her other hand pressed down on the Knocking Ghost’s shoulder. The back of the hand was deathly pale, and abnormal blue veins writhed beneath the skin.
Her sharp black nails stabbed into the Knocking Ghost’s black shirt, pressing the Knocking Ghost, which was trying to force itself upright against the blue-gray monstrous hand, back down again.
This appeared to be a clash of physical strength, but in truth, it was a clash between supernatural powers.
The Sadako that Wang Liang had summoned from the glass, together with the blue-black monstrous hand extending from Zhou Zheng’s stomach, actually pressed the Knocking Ghost—which had only just managed to rise a little—back down to the floor in this wave of supernatural collision, making a heavy thud.
Some of the students who had fled through the classroom’s rear door noticed the perilous clash between malevolent ghosts at the front door. They were startled by Sadako’s sudden appearance, and some panicked so badly that they even fell to the floor.
Yang Jian and the others, who had also run out of the classroom, saw this scene as well.
“Holy crap, Teacher Wang actually—”
“Move!”
Zhang Wei had not, as in the original plot, fallen downstairs because large areas of the classroom had rotted and caused the floor to collapse.
Now, after witnessing this scene at the rear door, he shouted in both fear and excitement, but Yang Jian immediately shoved him from behind.
Yang Jian’s mind was far calmer and clearer than others his age. He knew that Teacher Wang and that strange man named Zhou Zheng had created this chance for them to escape. They absolutely could not waste time shouting at the side. They had to seize the chance and flee outside.
Fang Jing, who had also escaped through the rear door, had not expected Teacher Wang, who had always taught them, to actually be a ghost wielder as well.
His eyelids could not help twitching. Thinking of what he had said in the classroom earlier, and the mature act he had put on, he could not help feeling a trace of awkwardness, shame, and irritation.
However, when he saw the blue-black monstrous hand, the white-clothed female ghost, and the corpse-spotted old man locked in that perilous collision, he was still frightened by the confrontation between the three ghosts and shuddered. He hurriedly turned and ran.
Moreover, since he knew a few methods for dealing with supernatural events, in order to avoid being isolated while fleeing—and to ensure there would be a few people beside him to serve as shields in a crisis, so that he would not be the first to die—he even shouted loudly:
“If you want to live, follow me!”
At the classroom’s front door, Zhou Zheng, who was activating his supernatural power, was also startled by the white-clothed female ghost that had suddenly crawled out of the corridor glass ahead.
But he did not panic too much, because that female ghost did not attack him. This made him understand that the female ghost invading reality from the glass was the malevolent ghost controlled by that homeroom teacher.
Especially after seeing the Knocking Ghost pressed back down to the floor, Zhou Zheng’s gaunt face could not help forcing out a faint smile.
“…Good!”
“Do you have a gold body bag on you?” Wang Liang came up beside him and asked urgently.
They could not keep suppressing the Knocking Ghost here forever, nor were they necessarily capable of holding it down. The Knocking Ghost’s true terror had yet to fully erupt.
Only gold could contain malevolent ghosts. If Zhou Zheng had a body bag made of gold with him, perhaps they could take advantage of the moment and stuff the corpse inside directly. Otherwise, they were basically done for.
After all, even if Wang Liang could endure by wielding a crashed malevolent ghost, Zhou Zheng could not possibly hold out forever.
