“Mmph, mmph, mmph!” Everyone’s gone—hurry up and let me go!
The man seemed to be teasing her on purpose. He brought his handsome face even closer and gave a wicked smile. “What you mean to say now is that you’d serve me like an ox or a horse to repay me for saving your life?”
“Mmph, mmph, mmph!” Which ear of yours heard me say that?! Mo Bei’s eyes went round as she glared desperately at the silver-masked man before her. She really had left home under an unlucky star—to run into this lecher of all people!
But why had he saved her?
Had he drawn his blade to help when he saw injustice on the road?
Impossible!
This man had most likely followed her here, seen her in danger, and, unwilling to let his prey die in someone else’s hands—nor to let even more people learn his secret—had “shown great mercy” by dragging her under the bed!
After all, she hadn’t lost her memory. She still remembered how last night he had wanted to put her to death!
Yelü Qianxiao stared at the little eunuch beneath him, the smile at the corner of his mouth deepening. His hand was even less idle, taking shameless liberties with Mo Bei’s cheek.
“But what a pity. I’m not short of servants at my side right now. You’ve missed your chance!” He really looked like a little wildcat with its fur all bristling! Interesting. How interesting!
Mo Bei gritted her teeth, then gritted them again, and began to suspect whether she had sent the wrong signal. Though she hadn’t thought that in her heart, perhaps her eyes had said it—wasn’t there a lyric that went, “My eyes betrayed my heart”?
But then again, this fox’s ability to read expressions was truly too formidable—so formidable she wanted to hit someone!
No. If she let him keep fooling around like this, her identity would be exposed sooner or later.
Her slender long leg shifted, then, seizing the gap, bent sharply upward.
Bang! Along with a low, dark curse, the wooden bed split apart, pieces flying everywhere.
In an instant, the atmosphere turned abruptly cold. Before Mo Bei could even react, an icy large hand had clamped around her jade-white neck.
“With just a gentle squeeze from me, I imagine that leg of yours will finally behave.” Yelü Qianxiao spoke with a smile, but the strength in his hand increased bit by bit, and in his blue eyes was killing intent with no end in sight.
Breathing grew harder and harder. Mo Bei choked for air, her small face flushed from suffocation yet filled with arrogance. She glanced disdainfully between the man’s legs and said, word by word, “Cough… I… I should have kicked… kicked harder… cough… much harder!”
“Haha.” Yelü Qianxiao laughed instead of getting angry. His large hand loosened, and with his right arm he lifted her whole body up before his eyes. The two of them looked at each other on the same level. His blue eyes narrowed slightly, and his wicked smile grew ever clearer. “You like this really make me both love and hate you!”
He couldn’t keep him.
He couldn’t bear to kill him.
It seemed there was only one plan left: turn him into one of his own!
At that thought, Yelü Qianxiao’s peach-blossom eyes curved faintly. The large hand gripping Mo Bei’s jaw slowly rubbed against it, and he smiled with wanton unruliness. “Your skills seem quite good.”
“You flatter me. I’m nothing more than a petty thief.” Mo Bei’s heart skipped half a beat, not knowing what this lecherous fox was really up to. She deftly turned her head aside, not daring to look straight into those sea-deep, lingering pupils, afraid that one careless moment would let him hook her soul away.
Never had any man bullied her like this before. Damn it!
Also, what had he just said?
Both love and hate?
Could it be this guy took both men and women?
As expected, he was lecherous to the extreme!
Yelü Qianxiao swept her with a cool glance. “I don’t like people who beat around the bush.”
Then why are you twisting and turning so much that I still can’t guess what you came here for?! Mo Bei struggled to control her expression and smiled very gently. “Your tastes are truly excellent.”
