Silver Dragon Chronicles, Episode 63
“My, it’s been a while!”
“It’s been a while for you too, Unni!”
Sawollin smiled brightly and greeted Akserin.
Both of them had rather awful personalities, but Sawollin and Akserin had been as close as real sisters since childhood.
Moreover, having been apart for so long, they seemed to have missed each other terribly.
“But where’s Jehwa?”
“He’ll be a bit late; he said he had something to take care of. Ah! This is Yi Seolhye of the Kunlun Sect.”
“Yes, I know. The disciple of Lord Unwonnam, right?”
Akserin smiled brightly and looked at Yi Seolhye.
“I am Yi Seolhye.”
Watching her politely bow her head, Akserin spoke.
“Nice to meet you. I am Akserin.”
“So this is the Heavenly Demon Divine Cult? Amazing!”
Hong Yuhwa whistled as she looked around.
“As expected, the air here is too heavy.”
Baek Horan frowned, showing her discomfort.
“But the air is refreshing?”
She was completely different from Hong Yuhwa, who was smiling radiantly.
“As expected, you’re wicked! How can you feel refreshed breathing this air filled with demonic qi?”
“I’m a demon!”
“A demon?”
At Baek Horan’s echo, Hong Yuhwa shrugged her shoulders, and she made a blank expression.
“Who are you!”
Just then, a warrior of the Heavenly Demon Divine Cult discovered Baek Horan, Hong Yuhwa, and Jehwa and shouted.
“The people who came in here.”
Jehwa answered the warrior with wide, innocent eyes, and the warrior shouted loudly in turn.
“Intruders!”
Hong Yuhwa slightly frowned and lightly waved her hand.
“Noisy.”
“Ack!”
The warrior soon screamed and collapsed.
Sawollin, who had been heading to her room, tilted her head at the sudden commotion.
“What’s going on?”
“Who knows… It’s been noisy because of the Blood Cult lately, but this is too loud.”
Akserin also lightly frowned.
“Capture the intruders! A young man of twenty and a young maiden! And a girl in her mid-teens! They possess martial arts far too powerful for their age.”
Just then, a high-ranking warrior commanding the others shouted.
“…….”
And at those words, Sawollin’s face twisted fiercely.
Intruders, a young man of twenty. And a madman rampaging openly inside the Heavenly Demon Divine Cult.
“Could it be… Jehwa?”
Yi Seolhye also spoke with a careful expression, as if sensing something.
The three women looked at one another for a moment, then immediately began to run.
“T-this can’t be…”
The warriors looked at Hong Yuhwa with terrified expressions, while Hong Yuhwa looked as if she was having fun.
“This is fun.”
Thwack!
“Argh!”
Another warrior collapsed from the pebble Hong Yuhwa threw.
“Is that fun?”
When Baek Horan, who had been watching blankly from the side, tilted her head and asked, Hong Yuhwa placed a pebble in her small hand and said.
“Try throwing it.”
“Hmm….”
After pondering briefly, Baek Horan threw it at one of the warriors.
Smack!
“Kuck!”
Fortunately, she seemed to have controlled her strength, for the warrior merely foamed at the mouth and toppled over.
“Wow, this is fun!”
As expected, children learn bad things quickly.
Watching Baek Horan smile brightly, Hong Yuhwa also smiled brightly. At that sight, the warriors tensed up even more and were about to charge at them when…
“Wait!”
With a piercing voice, Sawollin appeared.
“Milady…!”
The warriors made surprised expressions.
But Sawollin lightly ignored them, stood in front of Hong Yuhwa, pointed her finger at her, and shouted.
“What do you think you’re doing! Why are you causing such a commotion!”
“They’re the ones who attacked us!”
When Hong Yuhwa spoke with a scowl, Sawollin shouted again.
“You could’ve just come through the main gate! Why did you show up here out of nowhere, draw suspicion, and cause this mess?”
“Shall I show you what a real commotion looks like?”
Sawollin flinched at her words spoken with a smile. If the woman before her truly let loose and caused a commotion, there was no telling what would happen.
Then, Jehwa, who had been quiet, spoke.
“How long are you going to keep making so much noise!”
At those words spoken with a face full of dissatisfaction, the bickering between Hong Yuhwa and Sawollin finally came to an end.
“It’s been a while.”
“Hello.”
As Akserin greeted her with a smile, Jehwa replied.
“I heard all about what you’ve done. To have stopped everything the Blood Cult was trying to do… As expected, you’re amazing.”
If Jehwa put his mind to it, he could fight the entire Murim alone and win.
Akserin, who didn’t know that, merely thought Jehwa was amazing.
“But… who is this?”
Suddenly, Sawollin butted into the conversation. And, as if it were the most natural thing, she looked at Baek Horan, who was tightly clinging to Jehwa’s side, with a puzzled expression.
“Where did you pick her up?”
Because Sawollin pointed her finger at her, Baek Horan’s face twisted.
Smack!
“Keck!”
Baek Horan’s kick struck Sawollin square in the face.
On a night when stars twinkled in the dark sky, a man with black hair stood atop a building of the Heavenly Demon Divine Cult.
“Kihkihkihkih!”
The man had one slightly peculiar feature: ears sharper than a human’s and horns protruding from behind them.
“Truly a wonderful place. To think such a place exists in this world… Later, I’ll drive out all the humans here and take it for myself.”
“I really like you! Well done!”
In the room, Hong Yuhwa lay on the bed and giggled.
“Did I do well?”
“Of course.”
“Wow~”
Baek Horan was happy at Hong Yuhwa’s praise.
Before anyone knew it, the two women had become very close.
“But Unni, did you really come from another world?”
“Yeah.”
“Wow, amazing!”
“You didn’t hear it from Lady Baekho?”
“Mother didn’t tell me anything?”
Indeed, Baek Horan was still too young to be involved in such matters. Her mother, Baekho, had likely said nothing about demons because she was worried about her.
“But… Jehwa oppa has changed a lot.”
“Huh?”
As Baek Horan muttered with a serious expression, Hong Yuhwa tilted her head.
“He was strong before, but… I knew something enormous was inside him… But to think he’d become that strong… A-and! It felt like he was looking at something other than humans. Do you know if something happened to Jehwa oppa?”
Watching the flustered Baek Horan, Hong Yuhwa smiled slightly.
“It’s only natural for Jehwa to have changed like that.”
“Why?”
“Because Jehwa isn’t human.”
“What are you talking about? Are you saying Jehwa oppa became a divine beast or something?”
As Baek Horan tilted her head, Hong Yuhwa spoke.
“Jehwa is a Silver Dragon. The prince of the Silver Dragon Clan of the Silver Kingdom in the Dragon Realm of our world. That’s right—Silver Dragon Prince Eun Jehwa!”
At Hong Yuhwa’s words, Baek Horan’s eyes went wide.
“That wasn’t a joke?”
“I’m serious.”
Hong Yuhwa smiled gently at Baek Horan, who wore a blank expression.
“Nggh~”
Jehwa stretched with a long yawn.
Crack-crack-crack!
Every time he moved, refreshing cracking sounds echoed through his bones.
He had rested enough by now.
“Shall I start moving soon?”
Jehwa’s smiling figure looked beautiful, yet horrifying.
Chapter 18. The Beginning of Battle
Two weeks had passed since Jehwa and his group returned to the Heavenly Demon Divine Cult.
Ever since Jehwa entered the Heavenly Demon Divine Cult, the Blood Cult’s movements had noticeably decreased.
“Have they noticed that Jehwa is in the Heavenly Demon Divine Cult?”
Akserin muttered as she skimmed through documents in her office.
The chances were certainly high. The damage Jehwa had inflicted on the Blood Cult was no small matter.
Moreover, the matter with the Kunlun Sect had practically been overturned single-handedly by Jehwa.
Thus, his mere existence made them cautious in their movements.
“Just having Jehwa here is an enormous advantage!”
Akserin smiled brightly and happily hummed a tune.
“…….”
“You were acting like you’d rush out at any moment…”
Sawollin spoke to Jehwa with a puzzled expression.
“Something’s strange.”
But when Jehwa suddenly spoke with an anxious face, Sawollin tilted her head.
“What is?”
It was rare for Jehwa to make an anxious expression. That was why Sawollin was quite surprised.
“I don’t know, but… something…”
Jehwa’s face, having sensed a dark premonition of the distant future, was clouded over.
“Haam~”
Hong Yuhwa made a languid expression and let out a long yawn.
Since Jehwa wasn’t moving, she also stayed still.
Heukhwa, who usually relieved Hong Yuhwa’s boredom, was away for a moment to gather other demons.
Meanwhile, Baek Horan had gone to look for Jehwa.
“She really is a pet.”
Hong Yuhwa, who had been clicking her tongue lightly, froze instantly.
The surrounding air changed and space distorted.
“This is…”
Hong Yuhwa quickly swung her hand.
Boom!
An explosion burst forth, and space twisted.
“As expected, amazing! Truly befitting the most powerful demon in history.”
“What? An illusionist? Was the name Kaberyan?”
“It is an honor that you remember me, Lady Diadellin.”
“Wow! Did you come here to die? How thoughtful of you!”
Hong Yuhwa smiled radiantly at Kaberyan, and he smiled gently.
“Not at all! As expected, your sense of humor is as good as ever, both then and now.”
At Kaberyan’s words, Hong Yuhwa smiled radiantly once more and replied.
“As if this were a joke.”
As she spoke, dense demonic power began to rise from Hong Yuhwa’s body.
“As expected, you are great. However, it is not I who will face the Princess, but these fellows.”
As Kaberyan lightly waved his hand, monsters from the Demon Realm poured out. Seeing that, Hong Yuhwa smiled a smile brimming with malice.
