Chapter 8 Husband, You're Scared

6 min read1,476 words

Perhaps she truly was blind; at first, she only kissed the corner of his mouth. Yet she was restless still, and even extended her soft little tongue to lick him lightly.

Then, as if realizing something was off, she furrowed her dark brows, dissatisfaction appearing on her lovely little face.

She cupped his face and sniffed lightly.

Whether she smelled anything, Li Heng did not know. But he knew that he had caught her sweet fragrance.

The reason that had just risen within him nearly sank again. He hurriedly spoke. “You…”

But the words had only just left his mouth when Liu Xuan suddenly lowered her head and bit his chin. Then, following the line of his jaw bit by bit downward, she finally kissed his sensitive Adam’s apple.

Li Heng lowered his eyes and looked at her, his Adam’s apple bobbing. She, as though she had discovered some fascinating toy, stuck out her delicate tongue and lightly licked and teased it.

Perhaps because she could never quite catch it accurately, she grew somewhat annoyed. Opening her mouth with a childish hint of retaliation, she bit down, neither too lightly nor too hard.

That bite made Li Heng’s lower abdomen tense. All reason vanished. He grabbed her chin and lifted it, tugged at his collar with a trace of irritation and anger, then kissed her lips fiercely.

Only at this moment did Liu Xuan dare to secretly glance at him.

His present appearance had been altered, concealing the innate allure and wildness he was born with, turning it into ordinary unruliness. But now, all that remained of him was restraint and vexation.

Liu Xuan knew what he was restraining, and what he was vexed over. What he restrained was the impulse of his body; what vexed him was that his self-control was utterly worthless before her.

But she would not give him the chance to regret it. Endless tugging and probing would only add to her troubles; she had no time to keep playing along with him.

After today, even if she could not make him believe her, she would make Li Ying and him develop a rift, so that he could no longer come to seek her out frequently.

Once Liu Xuan had made up her mind, she would delay no longer. Li Ying’s people should be arriving soon.

So she took the initiative to pull away, caressed his body, then slowly crouched down and said softly, “Husband, let Xuan’er help you.”

Li Heng said nothing. He only suppressed his impulse and quietly watched her.

He watched as she crouched down, felt her way to his belt, then skillfully untied it and set it aside. After that, she groped again, opening his outer robe, then found the ties of his underpants and reached out.

This was the final line of defense.

Li Heng knew clearly that once the ties were undone, many things would become different.

A person’s bottom line was never broken through all at once, but crumbled bit by bit.

Her slender jade fingers had already covered the ties. Now he had only two choices. Either he stopped now and pretended nothing had happened, and the rift between him and Li Ying could be dispelled with a few words.

Or he sank completely. And sinking required only a few excuses. One excuse was to see whether she truly was blind enough that she could not tell her husband had already been replaced by another man. The other excuse was that, in the act, he could observe the truest version of her.

But Li Heng knew very well that he simply had no self-control when it came to Liu Xuan. He simply had thoughts of her.

It had nothing to do with love. It was merely the instinct of the body.

Seeing that she was about to untie them, Li Heng finally covered those slender jade hands and said hoarsely, “No need.”

He had thought she would be puzzled, and had even prepared his words, such as that it was for her own good. But unexpectedly, after hearing this, she raised her head, turning her lovely little face toward him. A mocking smile hung at the corner of her lips. Sweeping away her previous docility and frailty, she lightly spat out three words: “You’re afraid.”

Not, “Are you afraid?”

But, “You’re afraid.”

Her tone was certain, and even carried a trace of mockery.

Li Heng immediately frowned and said coldly, “I knew it. You were—”

Before the word “pretending” could leave his mouth, his lower body suddenly tightened. She had grasped him again.

“You!…”

“Does Husband not like this?”

Liu Xuan’s hand slid slightly, her fingers brushing over the tip. The sound of someone sharply drawing in breath immediately rang out, and the scorching heat in her hand twitched twice.

Her hand did not stop, and her voice also became gentle, as though that earlier “you’re afraid” had been nothing but an illusion. “If Husband is afraid of being seen, doing it like this through the clothes is also fine. It’s just that Husband will be a little uncomfortable, and when you return, you’ll have to wash your trousers.”

Pleasure began to pile up. Li Heng could not help tilting his head slightly upward, his hoarse voice carrying a faint pant. “The fear you spoke of refers to this?”

“Of course.”

Liu Xuan pouted. “Husband has never been someone who endures. Before, in Liu Family Village, whenever my monthly courses came, you would torment me like this once every day. But now that we’ve returned to the capital, you’re already this uncomfortable and yet you’re still holding back. Other than Husband being afraid of being seen, I can’t think of any other reason.”

These words seemed reasonable, but Li Heng could not forget that mocking smile she had worn just now.

He was certain he had not seen wrong.

However, he no longer had the strength to think.

His whole being had already been pulled away by pleasure. How could Li Heng have ever endured such stimulation? Moreover, he had already held back for two entire days.

He was already at an age of vigorous blood and energy. In the past, because he had been wary of the matter of shared sensation, even if he had needs, he had merely used martial practice to dispel and vent them.

If one had never tasted rare delicacies, one could survive on chaff and wild vegetables. But after tasting delicacies through shared sensation, chaff and wild vegetables could no longer fill his desire.

Now this was a real, tangible sensation, not the distant moon in the water or an itch scratched through a boot that shared sensation offered. Li Heng’s self-control completely collapsed.

His long fingers gripped the edge of the bed tightly. His head tipped back slightly, revealing his beautiful Adam’s apple, and his breathing grew heavier and heavier. Later, he had already begun to pant in low, rough breaths.

He clearly knew this was not good. He clearly knew there would be many troubles afterward. Yet he had no self-control with which to make her stop.

At last, pleasure was about to brim over…

“Miss, Young Duke.”

Ziyi’s voice rang out from the outer room, separated from them only by a beaded curtain. “His Highness the Crown Prince has sent someone over, saying there is an urgent matter and asking the Young Duke to make a trip there.”

The sudden sound startled both of them from their immersion. Liu Xuan’s movements stopped, and the mounting pleasure came to an abrupt halt.

She was just about to feel sympathy for Li Heng, but unexpectedly, he abruptly gripped her hand and, panting, moved it quickly up and down.

After several strokes, he suddenly stopped. The scorching heat began to twitch, and a wave of damp warmth carrying a certain scent seeped out through the fabric.

No one spoke. In the entire room, there was only the sound of low panting.

A moment later, Li Heng released her hand and leaned forward slightly, pressing his forehead against hers.

He closed his eyes and did not look at her. Only when Ziyi’s urging voice sounded again from the outer room did he slowly open his eyes and move a little away from her. Looking into her empty eyes, he said hoarsely, word by word, “We still have a long future ahead of us.”

After saying this, he answered the outer room with a sound of acknowledgment, picked up the belt from the bed, straightened his clothes, lifted the beaded curtain, and walked out.

Liu Xuan half-crouched on the floor with her eyes lowered. Only when she heard his footsteps gradually fade into the distance did she stand up and raise her hand to sniff beneath her nose.

Tsk!

So much!

Who knew how long he had saved it up.
