Kang Jimin’s house lacked any sense of being lived in, but the kitchen was the most disastrous part of all.
Our Ms. Kang Jimin seemed to be a complete stranger to cooking.
No matter how little connection you have to cooking, when you first start living alone, you usually get excited and try making some bachelor meals…
...I suppose some people might find it hard to get excited. Let’s let that slide.
In any case, it was terribly lacking. There was only one small pot, and hardly any dishes.
The electric kettle seemed to have been used purely for boiling ramen, and there weren’t any tea bags or other drinks. Even when I wanted to wash away the oiliness left in my mouth after eating oil pasta, the place was empty.
No green tea, no black tea, not even scorched-rice tea.
And yet, there was a shaker.
You know, that shaker bartenders go shake-shake with in movies.
There were no teaspoons, but there was a bar spoon. No colander, but there was a strainer.
And all sorts of expensive liquor were everywhere.
It was a parallel theory appearing once again. I’d also gotten into home bartending, after all.
I poured Kahlua into vodka and mixed it. A famous liqueur most people know.
Ta-da, one Black Russian was ready.
Cocktails are simpler than you’d think. Even simpler for someone who doesn’t mind drinking them in a half-assed way.
I sipped the cocktail and washed away the oiliness left in my mouth.
Feeling the sweetness, I pressed play on the video, and a scream immediately burst out to greet me.
-“Aaaaargh!!!”
Then it showed only about half of a purple object approaching from afar before cutting off.
The intro followed. Right, back then, everyone was doing this kind of thing.
The video flowed smoothly.
The editor here is delicious, and the video is kind.
Maybe because the editing came in so powerfully, my expectations were hyped up to the fullest.
Even the process of Hanami being executed nonstop in various ways was fun.
If I’d actually watched this for the full six hours, it probably would’ve been pretty boring, but was it all thanks to the editor’s skill after all?
No, wait. She really died for six hours?
“They really exist…”
So there are people like this not just among older folks who’ve never played games, but even among game streamers…
Maybe my own senses are the ones that are warped.
But in Omagal, six hours is enough time to see the ending six times over and still have time left…
If you hang around people like that, maybe it can’t be helped.
In any case, thanks to the editor’s skill, fifteen minutes flew by in a daze.
They had picked a good editor, but the streamer called Hanami was also impressive in her own way.
Even while dying over and over, her chatter never died. She kept hosting the stream without losing heart, constantly bluffing and making a fuss.
Honestly, I did think that if she’d shut her mouth and focused like crazy, it wouldn’t have taken six hours…
But then that would be putting the cart before the horse as a broadcaster.
Rather than her frustrating skill level, the fact that she kept talking for six whole hours was more amazing. So this was the kind of person who became a streamer.
“Ah. So she failed the mission.”
Well, of course. That was why she summoned the Seal.
I’d been watching so intently that I hadn’t even realized something obvious.
Even though the mission money, which had easily exceeded one million won, vanished into thin air, the stream’s flow was smooth.
She didn’t get depressed or anything; instead, she poured out words even faster. Her gift of gab was impressive.
Then came the summoning and highlight scene.
-“…Guys? Did you just see that?”
-Something just went by.
-“Right? I didn’t see that wrong, did I?”
-So was that the boss just now?
The highlight was, as expected, the scene that had appeared in the intro.
Classical-style BGM suddenly began to play.
A majestic and ominous soundtrack. The clean sound of a piano flowed out.
…They put a lot of effort into this edit, huh?
In time with the moment when the intro briefly died down, the speed of the video also slowed.
And then the screen moved slowly.
The camera zoomed in more and more, closing in on my avatar as it ran over using crouch-canceling.
-“Aaaaargh!!!”
And even the decibel level was adjusted to be loud without hurting the ears.
I’ll say it again, the editing skill was incredible. Was this the skill of a big-time editor?
With flashy editing techniques, they pinned the viewer’s gaze in place.
If even I, who already knew exactly what happened, was being helplessly caught up in it like this, then there was no need to mention how the viewers would react.
-“Are OdinDoti users… all originally like this?”
-We don’t know either…
-“Something seems wrong.”
-We said we don’t know either.
It was interesting to see that this was how it looked from someone else’s point of view.
The fight, which had been nothing but tedious spoon-smacking, was also neatly edited and quickly moved past, and the streamer’s reactions were brought to the forefront very naturally.
The video, over twenty minutes long, passed in an instant.
I remembered that YouTube videos had trends where they got longer and shorter… and around this time, I recalled they were in the middle of getting shorter.
Looking around, most videos were a little over ten minutes, so for a twenty-minute video to be uploaded…
That meant the source material had come out that entertaining.
For some reason, I felt a little proud.
-“…Seriously, what a dogshit game.”
It ended on the scene of Hanami picking up junk loot and looking dumbfounded.
Lastly, she sent a friend request and exited the game… a friend request?
-“Do I really need to? I don’t think I’ll ever come back.”
No, don’t, it’ll be doomed without you!!
…No, wait, a friend request?
Startled, I checked, and it really had come.
Hanami said she probably wouldn’t be coming back now and exited the game, and the video ended just like that.
Since she’d died that much, it wasn’t like I couldn’t understand, but it still felt disappointing.
Her level was lacking, but the patterns themselves weren’t hard...
If someone had helped her just a little, she would’ve cleared it quickly.
To begin with, wasn’t it too much of a shame to stop looking at a game because you got stuck on a boss you could pass over?
It wasn’t a situation where one newbie was precious like in the previous worldline, but the thought of one valuable newbie disappearing like this still hurt my heart.
Still, when I checked the comments, the reactions weren’t bad.
-What’s that purple guy’s identity lololol
-Why does he dodge by walking?
-That’s someone who’s gone all the way;;
Maybe my attention-seeking streak was acting up. I kept finding myself looking through the comments.
-What? Watch out for the soldier wearing only underwear?
-A suspiciously gentle veteran: dead serious about licking newbies
-Can I do that too?
I’ll emphasize this again, but it wasn’t my first time appearing in a place like this.
But there was a difference between getting reactions like “What’s this now?” in a game that was on its last legs, and getting reactions like “What the hell is this?!” in a hot new release.
It made me feel all ticklish.
Aw, come on.
I hadn’t even shown much yet, and this was only this much.
OdinDoti’s buzz really must be something else.
When I casually checked the view count, I was met with an astonishing number.
[430K views - 7 hours ago]
Even considering her subscriber count, wasn’t this unusual for just seven hours?
After looking back and forth between the comments and the view count, I opened the friends list.
If I’d checked on the day it arrived, I might have rejected it without much thought, but…
For now, I pressed accept first.
And while I was at it, I also subscribed.
No, well.
She was good at streaming.

As I kept sipping, the glass emptied in no time.
When I thought about trying something else too, dozens of recipes flashed through my mind.
I could even make all of them as long as I had carbonated water or juice.
She had even stocked vermouth and cinnamon.
…She couldn’t cook anything except aglio e olio, but cocktails were spread out like this?
The somewhat alcoholic aspect was a bit off-putting, but so what? From her perspective, it was a liver she wouldn’t get to use up anyway, so she must have had fun spending it freely before leaving.
Once you fall into drinking in an unstable environment, it’s hard to get out. I knew that too.
Was it because the body itself was hers?
I didn’t crave cigarettes at all, but my appetite kept stirring, and I found myself touching the empty glass again and again.
Smacking my lips, I checked the gallery.
The buzz over WeTube lasted only a moment before it returned to the usual topic.
Which meant Classic and Modern were fighting.
[Title: Hey, use this. I’m telling you, your rank will go up.]
: Classic-hater
Classic is high tier?
That person would probably climb higher if they used Modern.
ㄴModern-hater : Crawled back out again, huh, brat?
ㄴㄴClassic-hater : UID 81152263
ㄴㄴㅇㅇ : Are these fuckers dating or what?
By this point, everyone had probably noticed, but it was mostly WWE.
I got the feeling they were enjoying it among themselves too.
Those users called Classic-hater and Modern-hater were the same.
For people who spewed Classic/Modern hate every single day, they also seemed to be secretly waiting for the other to show up.
ㄴㄴClassic-hater : Modern users are ill-bred little brats… they must be deleted…
ㄴㄴㅇㅇ : lolol the record’s 5:5 with this.
ㄴㄴㅇㅇ : Perfect balance lololol
If you’re going to be like this, just get married already.
But as they say, a hundred people have a hundred colors. When a hundred people gather, there are bound to be all sorts.
Among them, there were more than a few clueless people who genuinely questioned Classic’s reason for existing.
[Title: Why, why aren’t you doing your best…?]
: ㅇㅇ
(Diamond Modern ratio 22% → 39%.jpg)
But why is the share going up!!!
Anyone Diamond or above is already rotten to the core, so why is it working on them!!
Try Classic!! Try it!!!
ㄴㅇㅇ : Grandpa, we told you you can’t do this here.
ㄴㅇㅇ : Modern really is fast on reactions…
ㄴㅇㅇ : If new players keep coming in at this rate, it’ll probably be “normalized.”
ㄴㅇㅇ : The share goes up~ The player count rises~
Mm. After something sweet, I’m craving something sharp again.
I spent a moment pondering as I licked the rim of the tilted glass.
It might have been somewhat impulsive, but I was able to make a quick decision.
Let’s look forward to the next glass tomorrow after all.
I’d happened to find something to do, too, so excessive drinking wouldn’t be good.
Today, it would be best to stop with just enough to cleanse my palate.
[Title: I have come to end this war.]
: Let me see your back

From here on, I should uphold my reputation.
Do you want the right to speak on balance?

FT10. Go.
I was planning to savor the open world, and the arena was locked before the ending, but.
An FT10 or so should be fine, right?
